A Quick and Easy to Prepare Masala chicken - An all time Gujarati favourite.

2 Chickens
SPICE PASTE
⅓ cup fresh lemon juice
4 tbsp white vinegar
1 cup warm water
4 cloves of fresh garlic
1 cup ready fried brown onions
1 slit green chilli
Combine above ingredients, add to a liquidiser and blend to a puree.
3 tbsp oil
3 tsp chilli powder
1 ½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp green chilli paste
2 tsp crushed chilli
1 ½ tsp salt
½ cup water
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 medium tomatoes
GARNISH
sesame seeds sprinkle on top
2 tbsp chopped green dhania
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve with puris, chips and a green salad

Add spice paste puree to the chicken. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes to infuse. Do not refrigerate.

Heat oil on low. Add chilli powder, turmeric, green chilli paste, salt and crushed chilli.

Adjust heat to medium. Add spiced chicken and cook until tender.

Add tomato puree, tomatoes, water and cook until reduced.

Remove from heat and garnish.
