A delicious seafood dish with yoghurt and fresh cream.
1 kg Firm white fish cubes
1 kg Large prawns (leave tail intact, clean, devein, and drain well
1 tsp coarse black pepper
2 tsp crushed garlic
2 tbsp white vinegar
2 tsp coarse chilli flakes
Salt as needed
Combine the above ingredients, cover and set aside for 10 mins
3 tbsp butter or ghee (to fry fish and prawns)
¼ cup fresh cream
SAUCE
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp tomato puree
6 tbsp thick yoghurt
2 tsp crushed chilli
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp mango powder OR 4 Tblsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground coriander
½ tsp coarse black pepper
2 tsp green chilli paste
½ tsp gharam masala
Salt as needed
GARNISH
2 tbsp chopped green dhania
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve with chips and lemon wedges
2Fry the fish cubes and prawns in three batches for just a few minutes until firm.
3Remove from pot and set aside covered.
4Heat oil in the same pot, add all the sauce ingredients from tomato puree up to salt, simmer for five minutes on low heat until thick.
5Add the fish, prawns and the fresh cream..
6Stir slowly and heat through, DO NOT BOIL.
7Remove from heat, add garnish.
